It is intended that the rotatable tube closure (1) have in the discharge position an opening (10) having the largest possible cross section. The tube closure is composed of a cover (2) which can be screwed onto a tube and of a rotatable cap (3). The cap (3) can be locked in a discharge position and in a closure position. The inner boundary (9) of the opening (10) in the cap (3) is moved out of the centre of the closure (1). The inner boundary (8) of the opening (7) in the cover (2) lies in the central axis of the closure (1). The individual openings (7, 10) in the cover (2) and cap (3) are semi-circular. <IMAGE>
