The support unit, independent of the driving unit and designed as a trailer (10), is a lattice girder which is supported on rails via travelling gears (8, 9) and has a head (11) with a slewing ring (12) of a slewing-ring erector. In its rear part, the trailer (10) has a tubbing intermediate store (14) for the tubbing (24). Fastened above the trailer (10) is a crab running rail (25) which extends to the rear over a tubbing haulage truck (4) and at the front end through the slewing ring (12) and projects beyond the latter by at least a tubbing width, the tubbing (24) being moved along the running rail (25) by two crabs (28). Simple feeding and transfer of the tubbing (24), which does not impair the erector operation, to the slewing-ring erector is obtained with this apparatus. The trailer (10) can be displaced by a piston/cylinder unit (32) and clamping jaws (33), lockable on the rails, and can be secured in its position by clamping brakes (34). <IMAGE>
