The control element has an integral behaviour, and the circuit provides a continuous control for controlled drives of pipeline valves. The control circuit consists of a three-step controller which receives an electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic input signal proportional to the control variable x in the measurement pipe. It converts it into a ternary digital electric signal xa in accordance with the control deviation xe. If signal xa is a continuous signal, its duration, and if it is a pulse train, its number of pulses is variable in accordance with the control deviation xe. Two binary actuators (switches) are alternately operated by the three-step controller output signal xa.
