The headlamp is pivotable on an horizontal axis (5) and there is a weighted pendulum fixed to the lamp pivot which keeps the headlamp correctly adjusted. The headlamp is locked in position in relation to its pivot axis by an adjuster screw (11). Set screws located in front of and behind the pendulum limit the swinging movement. An armature (9) is fixed in a suitable position on the pendulum. It works with an electromagnet (10) to keep the pendulum in a vertical position during travel. The electromagnet is excited by the high tension ignition circuit.
