<p>A flow meter for measuring the volume of flowing fluid through a conduit is provided with a self-centering rotor assembly that becomes precisely centered within a flow chamber of the flow meter upon assembly of the flow meter construction. Rotor support means may be provided having cam surfaces defined thereon, which cam surfaces have cooperative camming engagement with appropriate surfaces formed on the rotor assembly and are adjusted during assembly of the rotor mechanism to accomplish centering of the rotor mechanism within the housing structure and to establish tight frictional engagement with the inner wall structure of the housing to positively lock the rotor assembly in its centered position within the flow chamber.</p> |
