PURPOSE:To stabilize a room temperature and prevent a disadvantage such as a reduction in air temperature or the like by a method wherein the number of revolution of a compressor is increased more than that got through a fuzzy logical calculation when a temperature difference shows a higher value in a negative direction during a rapid heating operation and during a time in which a timewise variation of a temperature difference is being increased in a positive direction. CONSTITUTION:A memory means 14 of a controller 11 includes control rules (a) to (e) arranged in a fuzzy table. A control rule (e1) indicates that if a temperature difference E between a room temperature Ta and a set temperature Sp is a large NB in a negative direction and a timewise variation rate DE in the temperature difference E is low PS in its positive direction, an increasing amount or decreasing amount DF of the number of revolution of the compressor should be low PS in the positive direction. A control rule e2 indicates that if a temperature difference E between the room temperature Ta and a set temperature Sp is large PB in its positive direction and a timewise variation rate DE of a temperature difference E is low NS in a negative direction, the increasing or decreasing amount De of the number of revolution of the compressor should be low NS in a negative direction.
