A building with a sloping roof (6) has a baffle (2) erected above each sloping side. There is a gap left between the baffle and the roof and a turbine wheel (3) is placed in this. The axial length of the wheel is much greater than its diameter. The baffle and the side of the house direct the wind onto the turbine. Wind over a height (7)corresponding to the combined height of the building and baffle is thus concentrated onto a comparatively small diameter turbine.
