1425977 Laminated floor panels TATE ARCHITECTURAL PRODUCTS Inc 2 Aug 1973 [7 Aug 1972] 36837/73 Heading B5N [Also in Divisions E1-E2] A floor panel for use in computer installations (see Divisions E1-E2) comprises a core 136 adhesively secured to a flexible one-piece carpet 138 which overlies the core edges and terminates short of the bottom of the panel, and a metal plate 140 secured to the core and having upturned flanges 142 which contact the covering 138 to allow for dissipation of static electricity. The panel may be made by assembling the components with adhesive and bending the flanges into contact with the covering. The core may be of wood particle board, fibreboard, wood panel, plywood, gypsum board or lightweight concrete, which may be expanded or reinforced. The carpet may be of wool or nylon. Apertures 134, 144 are provided for securing the panels to supports via pins 132. |
