Temp. and load dilatometer - with capacitive deformation sensor and feedback compensation through sine bar

Appts. for investigating materials at given temp. and load, e.g. for thermomechanical and dilatometric measurements on polymers, has a since bar mechanism which is rigidly connected to a differential deformation sensor. The measuring rod resting on the sample acts on the latter which controls a bridge circuit to operate a reversible motor. This compensates the deformation through a micrometer screw. Arrangement raises the accuracy and sensitivity as it responds to loads of 0.2 g instead of 10-15g on conventional instruments. The range of measurements is widened from -150 to +900 degrees C, a deformation of 0-3 mm and a max. load of 70 kg/cm2.
