<p>1474225 Transferring electrostatic images XEROX CORP 10 Sept 1974 [11 Sept 1973 25 June 1974] 39489/74 Heading G2H An electrostatic latent image is formed by imagewise exposure with electromagnetic radiation of an imaging member and capable of generating charge carriers on such exposure and is transferred to receiving member 7 by migration of the charge carriers through liquid 5 in response to an applied electric field. The member 1 may be a charged layer of photo-conductive material on a base 3 of transparent, electrically conductive glass, through which it is exposed with actinic radiation. After development with toner the developed image may be transferred from the member 7 to a suitable substrate, on which it is fixed. Multiple images may be superimposed to give colour copying.</p> |
