<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an aesthetic property and high mechanical strength and to improve the adhesion to teeth by laminating an unpolymerized synthetic resin layer on the base surface of the orthodontic bracket consisting of a composite resin and allowing the composite resin and unpolymerized synthetic resin layer or the base surface to coexist in the boundary part thereof. CONSTITUTION:The unpolymerized synthetic resin layer is laminated on the base surface of the bracket consisting of the composite resin. The laminated boundary surface of the unpolymerized synthetic resin and the composite resin is preferably so formed in terms of strength that both coexist at the time of production. The composite resin of the orthodontic bracket body 1 consists of the cured aggregate of the mixture composed of 40 to 80wt.% multifunctional methacrylate and/or multifunctional acrylate, 9 to 50wt.% monofunctional methacrylate and/or monofunctional acrylate, 5 to 80wt.% filler, and 0.01 to 2wt.% polymn. initiator. This composite resin is made into a photopolymn. type and the polymn. curing is executed by photoirradiation.</p> |
