In appts. for making up cellular packaging from flat partitions in the form of thin sheets, an element feeds partitions in succession to a mechanism. The mechanism grips a partition on opposed faces and folds it so that it takes up a cellular formation. A conveyor takes these partitions, keeping them spread and transports them so permitting objects to be packed in the cells. A transporter returns the filled packaging to the conveyor.
