<p>A method for the development of diazo copying material by application of a liquid developer in controlled fashion permitting the use of a minimum quantity of developer to avoid over-wetting of the material. In order to maintain constant dosage and avoid the need for frequent replacement of the application roller as a result of frictional wear of its surface, the roller is made of a metal core (13) and an outer homogeneous covering (16) of elastic material is which are embedded a number of fibres projecting to give a velvety surface. The number and projection of the fibres are adjusted to give the required application dosage of the developer.</p> |
