<p>Injection-mould for mfr. of thermoplastics fittings and tube connections with >=1 bushing with annular groove spaced away from their end(s) whose depth is greater than the wall thickness i.e. in the order of 10% of inner dia. or >=5mm in the case of inner dias. above 50mm, is claimed. The mould comprises a 2- or multi-part outer mould and a mould core which together define a mould nest determining the final shape of the fitting. The core is adjustable in machine direction to facilitate removal of the moulding, and is provided with an annular projection for shaping the groove. This projection is firmly connected with the core with which it pref. forms an integral unit, so that it is displaceable, together with the core, after the injection step, and can be pulled out of the still-thermoelastic bushing whilst briefly expanding the same. Pref. a special mould component is provided for shaping the outer contours of the end of the bushing and the groove at the zone of greatest dia.</p> |
