<p>Outlet of last finishing housing, wire is heated. Then, wire is cooled at such a rate as to avoid bainite formation, eventually reaching point where allotropic austenite-perlite conversion of steel occurs. Specif., wire's heating takes plate by Joule effect, induction coil or plasma torch. Applications are to steel wire manufacture and advantages include improved breakage resistance.</p> |
