The multi-stage analogue amplifier of the parent Specification has a further stack of laminae SS 71, SS 72 which provides separate power supplies at predetermined pressures to each of the stages. Each amplifier power input is fed through the stack via apertures 40, a channel 65 and an inlet 61. The effective height of channel 65, set by selecting a predetermined number of laminae, determines the flow resistance and thereby the pressures supplied to each of the down stream amplifiers. The laminae are also provided with feedback channels 64, 66 providing predetermined flow resistances. The fluid contacting surfaces of the laminae can be roughened as described in Specification 1,188,128. The Specification specifies materials and optimum dimensions for various parts of the amplifier, and discusses its characteristics when operating under different pressures.</p> |
