Equipment for separating a top cut out from a stack of cut outs from textile or similar material of a low rigidity includes a grab lowered against the stack. The grab consists of >=2 needle shaped carriers moving in opposite direction against a force of a spring from a starting position in a grabbing position. The needle shaped carriers move parallel to the top surface of the stack and are displaced by an expanding wedge projecting between them. - The expanding wedge is attached to or forms part of the end of piston rod of a double acting cylinder. The point projection of the carrier needles is adjustable and the axis of the carrier needles form with the bottom surface of their corresp. carrier parts, an acute angle which is open in direction of the expanding movement.
