<p>The rotating piston internal combustion engine has housing with enclosing shell. The working chamber is also enclosed by end covers. The working cycle inlet, compression, expansion and exhaust take place at the same part of the engine chamber. The shell has axial coolant channels connected to cooling chambers in end covers. The flat gasket (9) has split segments (19, 29, 39, 49). These sections cover the relatively hot and cold regions and the segments have different thermal stability. The segments of the gasket consists of sheet metal coated with layer (11) of heat resistant material. Segments in relatively cool part are coated with nitrile rubber and those in hotter parts are coated with PT FE.</p> |
