A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition consisting essentially of a natural or synthetic tackifier, an elastomer comprising isoprene and piperylene and a solvent. The elastomer is preferably prepared from certain selected copolymerized C5-hydrocarbons from a hydrocarbon mixture containing C5-monoolefinic hydrocarbons, C5-diolefinic hydrocarbons (cyclic and acyclic), C5-paraffins, C6-aliphatics, and benzene.
