The pointed test contact, for circuit boards etc., consists of two rectangular parallel metal plates (10) each with reinforcing ridges along its two longer sides and with a droop-nose point at one end. The tip of the point forms the contact zone with the circuit's conductors. The two plates are mirror images and join together giving a two-point test contact. A printed circuit (8) may be sandwiched between the plates. The advantage lies in guaranteeing good contact without risking damage to the circuit.
|
