<p>4-Hydroxy-1H-pyrazolo- 3,4-d pyrimidine (I) is prepared by the condensation of a 3-formylamino-4-carbalkoxypyrazole, with a salt R'CO2NH4, where R' is H, carboxyl or an ammonium carboxylate residue, at 180-230 degrees for 3-6 hrs. I is a known antiarthritic.</p> |
