Viewer or camera for microfilm transparencies - uses array of mini-lenses in proximity of film emulsion

A compact arrangement of mini-lenses, mirrors and film is for the production or viewing of microfilm transparencies. For viewing, a light source is provided with condenser lenses and a mirror to direct light onto the transparencies which are contained on a film roll. The transparencies are magnified by an array of laterally and vertically mounted mini-lenses in a mounting plate held in close proximity to the transparencies. Further magnification is obtained by using double silvered mirrors in barrels, several of which are each aligned with a mini-lens and a transparency. For producing micro-transparencies the transparency is replaced by light sensitive emulsion and the light source is not required. A reseau can be used to produce colour transparencies on monochrome emulsion.
