<p>Esters of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinols with mono- or bis-hydroxybenzylmalonic acids are powerful stabilizers for organic polymers, especially for polyolefins. They protect the polymers against thermal-oxidative degradation as well as against light-induced aging. Similar activity show the corresponding amides of hydroxybenzylmalonic acids. The esters and the amides can be prepared by analogous processes.</p> |
