<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a steerage support system enabling execution of navigation along a planned route and being simple and widely applicable by generating a prescribed automatic pickup range in accordance with the speed of the own ship and by displaying the area. CONSTITUTION:In synchronization with a transmission pulse, a gate generating circuit 4 receives the speed of the own ship as an input from a speed sensor 5, generates a pickup range of a prescribed area in the directions of distance coordinates R and bearing coordinates Az in accordance with the speed of the own ship and delivers the same to a gate check circuit 3. When the area is fixed, the distance direction R and the bearing direction Az of the automatic pickup range are determined in accordance with the speed of the own ship in each scan in such a manner that the distance direction R is large when the speed of the own ship is large and that it is small when said speed is small, for instance. A display unit 11 shifts a course display to the left by the amount of a deviation when the own ship X is found on the right side of a planned route and displays a target Y together with said display.</p> |
