The chain conveyor passes over a number of work stations arranged to cover a particular working sequence. The work is arranged to pass the stations where parts or sub-assemblies may be removed for an operation and reintroduced onto the conveyor for transport to the next station. The objects are displayed in several rows to increase their accessability to the operator. The chain conveyor is fitted with a number of storage magazines so that the storage is equivalent to the number of work stations.
