Insecticidal and acaricidal compsn. contains as active ingredients a benzodioxole deriv. of formula (I) (R H, halo, alkyl, alkenyl or NO2; R2=alkyl or H; R2 = aralkyl, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, or H when R is not H or halo, R1+R2 can also together be alkylene), plus >=1 of carbamates, carboxylic acid esters (including natural or synthetic pyrethrins) and phosphoric acid esters. The wt. ratio (I): other active ingredient is 0.1-10-10:0.1, and compsns. can contain usual diluents and/or surfactants. (I) are synergists for the other pesticides being more active than piperonyl butoxide and effective for a wide range of insecticides. The compsns. are useful in agriculture, forestry, hygiene and protection of stored goods.
