Saw frame guide for parallel wood cutting - has guide elements set to reach position just ahead of blades

The guideway on a saw frame is for wood being cut lengthways, sawn parallel on at least two sides. Two guide plates, rollers or other elements on the input side engage sawn surfaces parallel to the cutting plane. The guide elements (7) are fixed in a selected setting relative to the saw blades (5), during the sawing process, and they extend to a point directly in front of the blades. The guide elements can be displaceably led on a guide rail (9) aligned transversely to the saw blades, to be movable independently of each other. Screw spindles can be provided for their adjustment. This layout permits precise lengthways cutting of long or square timbers parallel to the two surfaces already sawn.
