A concrete floor is supported by beams with a gap between them into which the concrete is poured, incorporating inverted V shaped clips (5) which are joined to reinforcing rods also located in the gap. Each end of each clip is secured by an attachment (11) which can be nailed to a wooden batten (6) spanning the gap under the beams. This attachment can be made from metal strip which is bent into an inner loop (9, 9a) supporting the free reinforcing rod (4). This extends into a base (10) resting on the batten (6) with a hole (15) for the nail (13). The remainder of the strip (11, 12) then forms an outer layer, trapping the rod from above. The nail also passes through the upper layer (12).
|
