<p>The religious statuette includes a candle holder set in its crowned head (A). The statuette is portable and hollow bodied to permit the introduction of holy objects or holy water found in places of pilgrimage. The water can be poured directly into the body without need of another container (B). The plinth is part of the statuette but divided from it to form a separate drawer to contain medallions, beads (C). The whole can be presented as a burning candle stick by an official at a Christian religious ceremony.</p> |
