<p>The car brake lights are replaced by a band of lights across the rear of the car, with the lights arranged in pairs from the outside of the vehicle to the middle. The lights are arranged in progressive intensities and are coupled to special inertial switches to provide a braking light related to the degree of braking. The weaker lights are in the outside pairs and the stronger ones in the middle. As the braking becomes more fierce more intense lights operate, until the whole band is illuminated. The system is controlled by quartz or mercury inertial switches and can be applied to any vehicle.</p> |
