1434238 Fuel tanks BASF AG 26 July 1973 [27 July 1972] 35540/73 Heading B7H A thermoplastics fuel tank, Fig. 1, has an integral tubular projection 2 with an internal flange 11 and also a member 5, for holding parts such as a fuel contents indicator and fuel line connections 6, 7, with an external diameter within the tubular portion larger than the internal diameter of the flange 11. The member 5 has a flange 8 which is pressed against the flange 11 by a union nut 3, a washer 4 having been placed between the flanges. In a modification, Fig. 2, the portion 15 of the member 5 serves as an auxiliary container and may have a flange secured thereto or may rest on the base (16), Fig. 3 (not shown), of the tank. |
