The articulated railway vehicle is maintained in correct alignment on a curve either hydraulically or mechanically. Detection rams (60, 61) are hinged on the chassis and their rods (65) fit behind the corresponding buffers (5, 6). Each ram has a thrust chamber (601, 611) opposite the rod and another chamber (602, 612) on the other side of the piston. The thrust chambers are joined by flexible pipes (10) to the other chassis. Automatic correction is then given and also steadying provided during braking.
