<p>Slag based hydraulic binder compsn. consists of a preground slag, a finely ground sand, and opt. sand of medium fineness. Pref. the compsn. consists of 30-70% preground slag, 10-15% which is fines; 10-40% filler, >=80% of which is fines; and 0-40% correction sand, contg. 10-25% of fines. The compsn. also contains a setting catalyser. Used for civil engineering constructions, esp. road beds, foundations, etc. Fine slag particles can be used in greater quantity than in prior art mixes, without detriment to the mechanical properties. Smaller amounts of correction sand are needed.</p> |
