<p>Coated metal prod. consisting of a central layer comprising an element chosen from among copper and its alloys, with >=1 layer of an element of aluminium or its alloys, and with >=1 external layer of stainless steel joined to the Al. The prod. pref. consists of Cu coated with al on both sides and then with stainless steel on one or both sides. The prod. has high heat transfer and corrosion resistance and is pref. made by assembling mechanically clean sheets, heating to 149-427 degrees C and applying pressure to reduce the total thickness by 25-60%, and then annealing at 371 degrees C. Method is used for mfg. cooking utensils, and other applications requiring high heat transfer without oxidn. or discolouration.</p> |
