A high-ohmic resistance layer with a large glass fraction is printed on the low-ohmic resistance layer with a small glass fraction. The wiper slides over the high-ohmic layer. A high-ohmic resistance layer can be printed to overlap and run parallel to at least one low-ohmic resistance layer. The high-ohmic resistance layer can be cauterised into the low-ohmic resistance layer. The wiper slides in the middle of the high-ohmic resistance layer. The resistance path proof against abrasion enables virtually wear-free variable and sliding resistors with consistent electrical characteristics to be made.
