MANUFACTURING METHOD OF MAGNETIC PARTICLES FOR MAGNETIC PARTICLE TEST USING HOT ROLLED STRIP DUST AND GRINDING DUST

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of magnetic particles for magnetic particle test of non-destructive inspection using dust generated during manufacturing of hot rolled strip and dry grinding dust generated in grinding process during manufacturing of special steel is provided. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of magnetic particles for magnetic particle test using hot rolled strip dust and grinding dust, as a manufacturing method of magnetic particles for magnetic particle test of non-destructive inspection from hot rolled steel dust and grinding dust of special steel that are disused, comprises first process of sieving for removing impurities; second process of crushing partially irregular particles; third process of reducing the surface of particles in the temperature range of 600 to 800 deg.C; fourth process of rapidly cooling the reduced particles for preventing reoxidation thereof; and fifth process of packing the rapidly cooled magnetic particles under vacuum for long term storage, wherein the crushing in the second process is performed using a vibrating mill, and NH3 or H2 is used as a reducing agent in the reduction process of the third process.
