<p>A heat collector for a solar heating system has an insulating layer of plastics foam with a set of fluid distributor channels inset into its top surface. These channels are coated with a plastics layer, and covered by a plate, which may be a glass plate, in which case the plastics layer can be blackened. Alternatively, this layer need not be blackened, and instead the covering plate can be of plastics, metal, anodised aluminium etc., which is blackened. The plastics coating layer may be of silicone rubber, and seals against the covering plate. The fluid supply connections can be conical, and attached by adhesive to the foam layer. They are also sealed onto the outermost channels. Another glass plate can be mounted on seals above the first covering plate.</p> |
