Fuel fired heater control circuit - uses same control contacts for fuel pump and ignition driven from blower

The control circuit for the fuul fired vehicle heater has the blower motor (M) driving a single contact (3) via a reduction gearing (2). The contact operates as the control contact for the ignition coil as well as the control circuit for the electric fuel pump (5). The two control circuits are connected in parallel to each other and they are linked to the single contact. The circuit operates over a wide range of blower speeds to ensure a constant ratio of fuel and air as well as firing rate.
