1511387 Bearings BORG-WARNER CORP 11 Aug 1975 [13 Nov 1974] 33411/75 Heading F2A A roller bearing cartridge comprises an inner race 28 having a pair of inner raceways 36, and and outer race 30 of two parts 44 joined together, each part having an outer arcuate surface 46 and a raceway 48, said parts being substantially the same and each having a plurality of semicircular openings 56, 58, 60 therein, such that when the parts are assembled and joined, there are formed a pair of circular openings diametrically opposed to one another, and additional openings 60 spaced equally on opposite sides of one of the opposed openings, there being a locating pin 6in one of thecirc ular openings for engagement in a housing cavity 64. When the cartridge is assembled in the housing, one of the openings 60 is substantially aligned with a lubricant fitting in the housing. The race parts may be joined by welding. The bearing cartridge may be used in a flange block or a pillow block. |
