Process for lining a substrate, esp. concrete paving or cement coating, with ceramic tiling, flooring or (esp. rigid) plastic flagging. Process comprises (i) applying to the substrate a resin-based impregnation layer, (ii) spreading on this impregnation layer an insulating underlayer constituted of elastomeric granulat mixed with a resinous agglomeratn, (iii) tamping the underlayer, (iv) applying to the underlayer a flexible cement -adhesive layer contg. a proportion of resin and (v) placing the lining elements on the adhesive layer in known manner. The resins contained in the impregnation layer, underlayer and adhesive layer are compatible with each other and are capable of adhering to each othe rto form a monolithic structure. The impregnation layer is pref. polyurethane, epoxy and/or glycol solvent. The granulate in the insulating underlayer is pref. formed of technical rubber, expanded polyurethane or an appropriate elastomer. The lining is rendered sound and heat insulating. |
