<p>Adherent one-layer enamel coatings on steel with 0.04-0.1% C or 0.006 % C takes place by process where steel strip or sheet is (a) chemically or anidically picled in 3-8 vol % HNO3; (b) metallic layer, which can be wiped off when w of Fe and one or two of Ni, Co or Mn is cathodically deposited on prepated strip or sheet rom one or more electrolytic baths at room temp. to 80 degrees C, or one or two of Ni, Co, Mn are added to electrolyte in =50 g/l total concn.; (c) strip or sheet is electrolytically Zn-plated, (d) Zn layer is chemically removed by in 3-8 vol.% HNO3 at room temp. and (e) strip or sheet is enamelled.</p> |
