The press consists of a base (1) with two vertical columns (4) at the top ends of which a cross support (3) is mounted. The upper die of the press tool is mounted on a cross-beam (2). This cross-beam is moved up and down by two pistons with piston rods (8). A removable table (5) is mounted on the base of the press and carries the matrix. A pulling arrangement with rod (9) is also mounted on the base. A second crossbeam is mounted under the base. This beam acts on the pulling rod at the moment when radially inward bending of the tube wall starts.
