<p>The refrigerating cycle with additional heat exchanger uses the heat content of the cooling water leaving the exchanger. The drinking water requirements are maintained, so that the water can be used for food processing purposes. The layout consists of a compressor (1) discharging refrigerant gas into a condenser (2). The liquified refrigerant passes through an expansion valve (3) into an evaporator (4) and back to the compressor. An additional heat exchanger (5) is fitted between the compressor discharge and condenser entry. A drinking water pipe enters the heat exchanger in counter flow to the refrigerant. The two sets of pipes are mounted with good thermal conduction into the block-shaped exchanger.</p> |
