<p>The vehicle lights are fitted with reed switches (9, 10, 11, 12) which are coupled to a switching circuit (13) and to the lighting circuit. When one lamp fails, then the switching circuit operates a warning light (16) on the dashboard. The circuit is arranged to eliminate any defects in the current supply to the lamps, e.g. fuse failure, by a test sequence which operates the warning light every time the ignition is switched on, providing all the supply lines are intact.</p> |
