Coin operated lock for lockers - has through passage enabling broken key stem to be removed without damaging lock

The coin-operated lock has a barrel mounted on the lock cover and is designed so that if a key is broken whilest in the lock, the broken section can be easily removed. The key passage (11) in the barrel (9) extends without obstruction through to the inner end face of the barrel core, and a further passage (D) in axial alignment with the key passage extends through the back plate (2) of the lock. An aperture (47) is pref. provided in the section of the bolt (22") which extends into the space between the inner end face of the barrel and the back plate of the lock.
