Rimless spectacles have a balancing beam fixed to both ends of the bridge and holding devices for spectacles lenses. The holding devices are fixed to the balancing beam and project to the front. A mushroom-shaped head presses the associated lens of the spectacles from the front against the balancing beam behind it. The holding devices consist of a metallic mounting stud (13) and a solid stud (19) with mushroom-shaped head. The length of the mounting stud (13) corresponds to about the thickness of the edge (23) of the lens. The solid stud (19) is fixed to the mounting stud (13) and is made of thermoplastic.
