1510606 Rotary scrapers P C S CLAMANS 23 Aug 1976 [1 Sept 1975] 35028/76 Heading F2N A rotary scraper 17 has a support 1 comprising an annular zone 2 with radial holes 5, 6 through which rods 7, constituting the active means of the scraper, project outwardly and means for maintaining the rods 7 in position comprising a member 8 having a surface 9 adjustably bearing against the rods. In the embodiment of Figs. 1 and 2 the support 1 has a pair of cylindrical projections 3 and 4 with radial holes 5 and 6 supporting the rods 7. The annular member 8 has a surface 9 which contacts the inner ends of the rods 7 having a shape complementary to that of the surface 9 so that the rods cannot move when part 8 is tightened down. In the embodiment of Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown) the cylindrical porjections 3 and 4 are replaced by an annular section (18). In a further embodiment (Fig. 10, not shown) the surface 9 is formed on the support 1 to contact the rods of the adjacent support. |
