The syringe is mounted by engaging the bosses 59 in respective slots 63 in a coupling shoe 26 on the drive-shaft 27, while the syringe is in a horizontal position, pivoting the syringe to the vertical so that the bosses 61 engage in slots 66 in the housing, and retaining the syringe by closing an access door 45.
