1510584 Portable road signs; barriers GLASS PLASTICS CORP 20 April 1976 [22 April 1975] 15941/76 Headings E1B and EIG A portable road sign, barrier or lamp is supported by one or more hollow plastics members 10, Fig. 5, of inverted Y shape each having an opening 28 for ballast 30 and two vertically-spaced apertures for releasably receiving cross bars such as 86, 88, each such aperture, Fig. 2, comprising integral side walls 52 between opposed walls of member 10. As shown each aperture tapers and forms a snap fit with the nose 46 of a cross bar 40. In Fig. 5 the two-bar barrier 86-88 is a single component supported by two members 10 and has apertures for a sign post 81 and lamp, and also an aperture (not shown) for ballast. In Fig. 3 (not shown) a large rectangular sign board is fitted in the upper V-shaped cross bar of a barrier. In Fig. 4 (not shown) a single plastics or timber barrier board (76) is supported in the upper apertures of a pair of canted supports (10). In Fig. 9 (not shown) a tripod sign is formed by a single canted member (10) snap-fitted on horizontal arms protruding from the rear of a one-legged sign panel (106). |
