<p>1508293 Controlling combustion of a stack KISA TRA AB 1 June 1976 [2 June 1975] 22524/76 Heading A5A Apparatus for controlling conditions within the interior of a stack 6 of combustible material by injection of a control medium therein comprises a nozzle 4 and hose 2 for carrying the medium, the nozzle 4 comprising, a tube with partitions 11, 13 and 15 forming axial chambers 10, 12 and 14, each chamber being connected to its respective valve 5 by means of pipes 7, 8 and 9 whereby the control medium (e.g. air, salt solution, steam or combustion gas) can be introduced selectively through the chambers into the stack. There may also be provided temperature sensors within the stack and arranged to activate the passage of medium if the temperature moves outside prescribed limits.</p> |
